November BJP and other work

Well, I finished the November page, my expression of my feelings on the November election! I'm so glad we'll be getting a different focus in our government. Also included is a beaded cord bracelet I'll finish up shortly. I love the combo of the turquoise size 8's and the cranberry 15's, and the texture of this sort of bead cord invites stroking. Also included, a pic of a pair of green wool toe-up socks. I've been on a knitting jag lately and am working on my third pair of wool socks. There's nothing like having warm feet in the winter!

At first I did not see what connection fireworks should have to November, but when I read your text the case became clear, as well as the meaning of the American colours in the middle of the picture. I am with you, and with Pam, for that matter, one hundred percent. Things must become better. Your page is tops - it couldn't be better!

I also like your necklace, and only from looking at those socks my feet already feel warmer.

Regards,
Sabine

Well, we are in agreement politically!. It has been hard for me to fly my flag during the last 8 years. Those socks do look warm! Its pretty cold in Northern Indiana right now. Wish I knew how to knit!

I've been wondering if anybody would bead journal about the election... Glad you did and even more happy that you had the occassion to do this piece featuring the Obama logo. If you haven't read his two books, I recommend them... they're easy to read, informative, personal and totally charming. Your socks look great. What pattern did you use?

Thanks all! Robin, I use Wendy Johnson's Fingering Weight Toe Up socks with Gusset now. Used to always just use Elizabeth Zimmerman's classic sock formula but I like the fit of the toe up socks even better.
